Cas Cerveser brewery
There's something good brewing in the little town of Puigpunyent nestling in the skirts of the Tramuntana mountain range in the west of Mallorca. Micro brewery Cas Cerveser (it means brewer's house) has been in business for a relatively short time but has been producing a well received selection of craft beers and making appearances at all the best beer festivals and organic food shindigs on the island and beyond.
In their permanent range of beers you'll find delicious versions of fruit beer, amber ale, golden ale, American pale ale, IPA, black IPA, spice herb and vegetable beer and just for Christmas Satan Klaus pumpkin ale! This Sunday, 19th November, you'll have a chance to be amongst the first to sample this year's batch of Satan Klaus when it is released to the public at the Puigpunyent Craft Beer Show.
Taking place in the town hall square from 11:00 onwards we'll be able to sip delicately on the finest products from four of Mallorca's top micro breweries; Boscana, Cas Cerveser, Forastera, and Sullerica. All four use local products, some of which aren't normally associated with beer peppers, pumpkins, oranges, orange leaves, lemon peel and figs! If that wasn't enough to satisfy the most discerning of us, there's also live groove jazz from The Emmentals during the day.
The other good news is that Cas Cerveser will be throwing open its brewery doors to the public every Friday afternoon. We can learn all about beer brewing and taste, try and buy the world's best liquid direct from the makers Chelo Ferris and Sebastià Morey.
