Peccata Minuta visits Son Vida Golf Club
Possibly the best gourmet tapas evening in all Spain, Peccata Minuta, is taking place in Mallorca once again this month, and for the first time ever in the middle of summer when there will be lots of lucky tourists about.
As we know, the organisers of Peccata Minuta (it means 'little sins,' so appropriate for an evening of small food) have held their gourmet tapa events out of the main tourist season, but with a philosophy of promoting the Balearic Islands' gastronomy, they've changed tack for this event.
Taking place next Thursday, 21st July from 20:00 until 22:30 at Palma's swish Son Vida Golf Club, there's a limited entry of 250 places costing €50 each and tickets can be purchased in advance from the Chefs(in) website. Now, this €50 will go a long, long way on the evening and is exceptional value for money with six top chefs in attendance together with a Champagne bar!
The chefs are preparing 4,500 gourmet creations using completely fresh and mostly local seasonal produce – and that works out at 18 little tapas per person – together with 500 cocktails (2 each) 250 ice cream coffees and a mini cheese board!
If this doesn't tempt you, let me tell you who the chefs are;
Tomeu Caldentey (1 Michelin star) - Es Molí de'n Bou
Rafa Sánchez (1 Michelin star) - Es Fum.
Tomeu Martí - Arume.
Miquel Gelabert Can March
Sílvia Anglada - Es Tast De Na Silvia.
Juan Portillo - Hotel Blau
and cocktail makers and shakers
Joan Canals - Ulisses y Meloussa.
Rafa Martín – Brassclub
These Peccata Minuta events really are great occasions to sample the best in Balearic food, and as you can see from the video of the last one in Palma's Palau March, great social occasions too.
See you there?
