Mallorca gastronomy: Hidden Kitchen

Fine food, sophisticated company and a secret setting

I've been invited to the next 'Hidden Kitchen' event by Miquel Àngel Barrios but I can't make it, so maybe you'd like to hear about it? Miquel's the head honcho of the Chefs(in) organisation of
Mallorca's best culinary wizards who do so much to promote the island through its wonderful gastronomy.

There's a simple philosophy behind the Hidden Kitchen concept; provide fine food to a select, appreciative clientele with the added surprise of a venue which remains a secret until just hours
before the event, but is not normally used for dining.

The first Hidden Kitchen was held in the fabulously fabulous lifestyle concept store Rialto Living in Palma when the great and the good of the island's tourist and associated industries turned out
in force to enjoy the setting, interesting conversation and some of the best food around.

The next event is on 20th August at 20.30 when top chefs Tomeu Caldentey from the Michelin starred Es Molí den Bou and Víctor García from La Fortaleza in the "http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/cap-rocat.es.html?aid=319293">Hotel Cap Rocat will step up to the plates and renowned mixologist Rafa Martín (photo) of Brass Club will be concocting the
cocktails to ensure a memorable evening!

Tickets, which cost €120, can be bought online via Chefs(in) and are excellent value for money for the quality
on offer. Even if you can't get to the event, you can still enjoy the fine cuisine of these skillful chefs all over Mallorca in their own restaurants or can book them for private catering through
the website.
