If, like me, the phrase Mallorca Souvenirs conjures up images of Mexican Sombreros, tea towels with a map on them, a snow dome with a windmill in it, and aprons featuring a bull and a cow
sunbathing under the word Mallorca, then you'll be pleased to hear of a new shop just opened in Palma.
Called Mallorca Loves You it's a new concept in souvenirs dreamed up by a professional team of designers. Toni Sorell, Micky Soler, Silvia Soler and Fernando Truyols make up the SSSiT (it's the
initials of their names, a bit like ABBA, but different) who have worked on publicity campaigns for both the public and private sector in Mallorca and beyond.
They've used their skills to design and produce fresh, bright, attractive, and more importantly, useful souvenirs of the island which also convey a vital message. The shop is in a 16th century
building, Can Armadans in Calle Estudi General, close to the cathedral, where you can buy, t-shirts, umbrellas, beach balls, mugs and so on, and nothing costs more than €20.
The team say that this is just the start and as the seasons change there will be lots of new items brought in to suit. Why not take a look if you're in Palma, it's really easy to find.
