Ginbo: Best Balearic Bar

Prestigious award for a cool Palma bar

A couple of years ago we recommended one of Palma's coolest bars for its all round ambiance, talented staff and its spectacular collection of Spain's trendiest drink – gin. Now Ginbo, it means 'good gin' in Catalan, has been awarded one of this year's ten Diageo Reserve Coaster Awards 2015, for being the best bars in Spain.

Ginbo came fifth in the list out of around 400 bars from all over Spain, top of the list for the Balearic Islands, and chosen for its quality and excellence in its work in the world of cocktail making. Diageo, the enormous multinational drinks company which sponsors the awards chose the ten on their clearly defined individual style and their shared passion – to offer clients the perfect cocktail.

ginbo mixologists celebrate award

Ginbo's owner, Santiago Cebrián Morales, who started the bar in 2009, and his team of expert mixologists are over the moon with the award but will still be happy to welcome you into the bar for a refreshing afterwork gin based cocktail. It's easy to find in the passeig Mallorca, round the corner from the Hotel Jaime III and opposite (ish) El Corte Ingles department store.
